League of Angels Review by KradisZ - Prepare your party to battle!

Objective of the Game; Upgrading/Setting up Party
While the game lends itself to be a strategy game, which it is in every sense, it isn't one where you command your units in battle. It's more of one where you set up your party and toss them into a pitbull fight and watch them duke it out with other players/enemies/NPCs or things. But for the most part the game is about upgrading. Upgrading to ludicrous amounts of detail to about 7-9+ different ways to increase the power of up to 5 characters/heroes in your party, plus a backup slot / hero that comes at level 70.
Levelling in the game is relatively lightning fast for the first 33 levels or so.(It should literally take about 30 minutes to get to level 30) After that it takes about a day to level each day utilizing the 50 loop quest granted each day at server task reset time(midnight on the server you're playing). If you're starting a new server, you should be able to get to level 30 in less than an hour. I'm serious. A majority of the game's features are unlocked, so 1-30 is pretty much tutorial mode.
Now the ways of upgrading your character are:
1. Enhancing Equipment
2. Socketing Gems into your equipment
These are beginner ways to start upgrading segments of your character. Having all equipments enhanced to a certain level will cause bonus combos to activate giving extra bonuses to your character.

Enhancing is simple, pay a certain amount of gold(in game currency) and the equipment goes up +1. Having 200,000 gold in game is actually VERY little. Later on enhancing goes to absurd quantities of gold. There is no trading in the game so all your resources are exclusive to yourself. You can however Gift stuff to people, but exchange nope.

The same goes for having certain level of gems across all sockets be a high level and a third one called Refine level as well.

Socketing Gems if you want to unlock the combo bonus more easily don't unlock more gem slots. If you do you're going to need more of the same level gems.. or higher level gems to activate it. Once there's an open slot it disables the combo activation. But the bonuses are pretty small compared to a decent level gem being slotted in. Nowadays, the best gems you should have in each of your items are: HP, PATK/MATK, PDEF, HIT RATING, DODGE and either CRIT,MDEF or AGILITY if you have your 6th slot, depending of your needs (these excepting the fuse gems that are harder to get and comes in time at higher levels; then you give up at mdef and pdef for them).

Other ways you'll unlock at how to upgrade your character/heroes later on at level 30ish are:
3. Training
4. Upgrading

Training is a way to increase your character's stats by an additional amount. After exceeding a certain + rank it'll also unlock elemental shifts in your character. Each character has their own special effect that'll unlock at certain qualities reached. So training your characters will increase stats linearly. They also account for overall boosts later on that give percentage increments.

I don't mean to overuse the word upgrade but the game has a lot of nouns occupied or synonymous with the word upgrade but Upgrading your characters in League of Angels grant them a percentage boost increase in stats, and after every 3 levels upgrading also increases their Active Skills if they are a hero recruit. Your main character has their own skill page that upgrades differently. Upgrading is a bit different than Training where it's a chance to upgrade, however with each failure the chance to upgrade increases for the hero/character that you're investing in. Training just requires an x amount of stones to level up.

Now those are 4 basic ways to upgrade your entire party, each separately.

Early on you'll encounter those methods first, however at about level 45 a significant level where the new recruit tavern unlocks, you'll be able to recruit new stronger heroes that have different skills and abilities and better stats. But the next few ways you'll unlock upgrading is at level 50 and 51. Those ways are:
5. Refining
6. Rune Page
7. Gem Enhancing
8. Elemental Attunement

9. Enchanting

Refining is rolling extra stats on your equipment, they cost refine stones that you can acquire from Jackpot activity which is just like a slot machine, you get 20 points to roll each day. You can generally roll yourself about 80-100 stones each day. Refining isn't too big of a boost but it does help and getting all the stats to roll to a certain grade will grant combo active bonuses to your character.

So there's 5 stats there to roll and you might be thinking its impossible to ever max it but those locks on the side let you prevent rolling that stat at a cost of more stones or diamonds(realmoney). If you lock 4 of them the cost will be about 300 stones to roll the 1 stat you want changed. So the more locks the more cost of course, which means you can eventually max out the equipment with insane stats.

Rune Page unlocks with the Eternal Spire a PvE activity. Runes grant percentage extra and special effects when certain runes are unlocked by powering up lit runes already. The experience for the runes are randomly distributed between lit runes.

Runes grant a lot of bonuses and the final unlock on the weapon rune later on helps add Angel rage in battle which is a huge boon.
The amount of runestones it consumes is a bit retarded though however you also gain equally just as much from traversing the Eternal Spire.

Gem Enhancing is pretty straightforward you get Gem Enhancement stones from doing Gemology, a PvE activity that's like Bejeweled. It grants you gems and after a certain threshold of points you've gained you get Gem Enhance stones. You can also get it from the Arena shop and various in-game events. Gem Enhancing is much like Training, where you just require a certain number of stones invested in to level it. Each level of Gem Enhancement increases the effect of ALL gems equipped on that char by 1%.

Elemental Attunementis only available to your recruits/heroes. Elemental Attunement unlocks with the Inferno at level 50. It requires Element Crystals, and each time you roll elements on your characters it'll either increase an element damage&resistance or lower it. If you put the setting to Advanced or Ultra the chances to increase element damage & resist are higher than downgrading. At high elemental levels you'll only be shoving Ultra setting.

Element attunement is very important for your recruits, it not only grants them bonus damage on top of their attacks it also helps reduce Angel blast attacks and help them survive team wipes from enemy Angels. So make sure you do power up your recruits Elements! They're the only ones that consume the Element Crystals.

And finally Enchanting

Enchanting is a huge way of boosting up equipment. It requires enchant stones gained from Elite challenge battles in Eternal Spire. Enchanting equipment gives it a huge boost for example Helmet enchant, 1 enchantment level grants 1% extra total hp and on top of that another 5000. It's HUGE.

Enchanting is definitely worth investing into the characters you want to keep or be sustainable in battle as the effects are enormous and often change the tide of battle between people.

Your main character upgrades differently than your recruits/heroes.
Your main character also has Avatar items they can wear (costumes and wings) that give big boosts, and your Mount is what grants your Main character extra stats via Training/Upgrading and has their own skill page which consumes Warsouls granted from doing PvE or PvP activities.
Your character's active skill also chains into other secondary and tertiary skills that are granted to you as you level. So say you perform Wrathstrike, then there's like a 50% chance Valiant banner will go off, and later on there'll be like a 20% chance Executioner Strike will follow Valiant banner all in 1 turn. Only your main character has such abilities.
At level 45 you also get a Job Change based on your starting class, each class has 2 options at 45. The change is permanent.
Question you might be having in your head at this point is this probably costs a lot of real money. Surprisingly you can obtain all this by putting 0$ in. Avatar items and Mounts too. You just need to put some dedication in and patience. There are events in the game that grant avatar items simply by completing objectives each day. They are very doable and can be obtained before the end of the event deadline assuming you start on Day 1. (Sky Archer for instance takes 30 days but free player can obtain it by 22 days in if they do all the non-pay stuff everyday).
Your main character also has an Emblem page but to upgrade that you just have to participate in Guild activities or contribute to guild levelling and guild bonuses.

     ANGEL

On top of that, your Angel is the most important to power up. They exist as an entity to accelerate battle causing AoE attacks to the ENTIRE enemy party every 3 turns very early on. Later on theres ways to speed up the Angels actions, but that's MUCH later (level 61+). Your Angel evolves with Seraph Stones causing the Angel's stats to increase by a % aswell as adding ALL elemental types of damage and grants your main character elemental resistances.

Evolving an Angel generally takes a lot of Seraph stones, you can of course unload real money to obtain tons of them from the shop going at 30 diamonds each but that's just a dumb way of going about it. Seriously. There's events in the game that help you gain these stones in massive quantities as a free player and a small paying player. You can also buy them at the Team Arena Shop which costs dragon crests that are EASILY obtained each day from winning or losing team arena battles and hot events that require you to participate in team arena to grant you bonus surplus of dragon crests.
Angel Tears on the other hand are a bit more difficult to gain and they are used to raise an Angel's level. After a certain level threshold is hit Angels can't level any further until you ascend them with Holy Crystals which can be found in PvE dungeons or buying them at the Arena Shop or Tarot shop or real money shop.

Now you might be thinking "I'll just invest all my resources into 1 Angel".
While this may be a good idea there's also ample reason to not do that because there's these things called Covenants in League of Angels and Guardian Angel assignments.
Covenants grant passive bonuses to your ENTIRE party when certain conditions are met with Angel levels and evolutions.

You don't need the Angel active in battle to receive these. The angels just have to be unlocked, at that level, and at the specified evolution or level if stated to receive the bonus for your entire party in the respective row specified. These put together make strategy important in party composition.
Guardian Angel is assigning an inactive Angel to grant extra stats and boosts to a character. These are huge, and can be further boosted with Cherubstones that can be aquired at Arena Shop or Tarot Shop or real money. They are hard to obtain in any format of currency.

So there are lots of reasons to also upgrade your other Angels you may have unlocked.
Angel Halo is a passive ability applied to your party at the beginning of every battle for both sides(if there is an Angel on the other side). This again plays into pre-battle strategy. Based on where your party is positioned they are granted extra stats. So be mindful of where your Main is and which recruits would benefit the most for being in a certain position!!

Aegis is another Angel element. Aegis grants your Angel a passive special ability that can chain with their AoE attack. When you beat Zodiac challenges(PvE), you unlock an Aegis of that constellation. Smelting an Aegis up to level 10 will prestige the Aegis and bring it back down to level one retaining its stat bonuses and increasing the Aegis Skill effect. You can only have 1 Aegis Skill activated at any given moment. These are entire partywide effect skills when they trigger and have a % chance on each target in your party or enemy party.

When you unlock new Aegises make sure you level them too! Each Aegis provides extra stats to your Angel and are very cheap to upgrade at early levels.

Player vs. Environment

League of Angels offers plenty of Player vs. Environment activities. Some mentioned above are like Gemology which plays a lot like Bejeweled. Match 3+ blocks and they explode you get a gem and some points. You can only make so many moves a day. At level 45 the advanced tab of Gemology unlocks which let you get special stat gems each day. Each move doesn't require you to match something though. Chaining cascades or gem matches grant you extra gems and points.
But other PvE activities I want to highlight are the Eternal SpireErebusInferno and Dark Abyss. You can however just do the regular area dungeons or blitz them. But those are very standard and will be introduced to you within the first few minutes of gameplay.

Eternal Spire is a giant tower climb that unlocks at level 51. It goes in stages and levels. For each level there are 10 stages. When you first start the enemies are fairly weak. They will continuously get stronger as you go higher in the stage. You do not restart at floor 1 when attempting again. Upon completing a level you can Blitz/auto challenge that entire level for auto completion of those previous floors to gain Runestones to improve your Rune Page as described above earlier.
It takes 10 minutes for auto blitz to complete 1 level so you can go afk for 3 attempts or 30 mins if you queue all 3 to complete which are given each day or do other things in the game while it goes to auto challenge.

At every 10th stage a boss awaits your party. You may fail this multiple times but you can attempt it with different party compositions.  For me sometimes I had to move main char upfront so my party survives in the back to deal additional damage and to tank damage so my healer doesn't get killed. My char also has armor that respawns them once in battle each battle which mixes things up a lot so quite some experimentation is needed when the battle is a close call. Sometimes its just straight luck with your Angel's Aegis Skill triggering repeatedly like stun from Cancer Aegis.

Once you complete a level you also unlock an Elite battle challenge, you fight strong hero versions of mercenaries from the taverns. Beating them gets you stones for Enchanting and unlocks enchanting for that particular equipment slot. You get 8 tries for these each day, if you beat one you can blitz them after or auto complete. There are LOTS of them to beat and they are very very tough.

Erebus however unlocks at level 40. This is the place where you now start getting materials to craft level 40-80 gear. You get 2 free attempts each day. Traversing through the erebus is like a dungeon crawler, it involves planning your movement, answering trivia quizzes, opening treasure chests, making sure you don't step on traps, grabbing movement powerups, grabbing party attack powerups, fighting bosses, enemies, removing fog of war etc.

Inferno unlocks at level 50. This is a bit more difficult it requires a team of 3 if you want any chance at getting an S rank. It's like the Erebus but it's timed! Not only should these runs be completed within 2-4 minutes for the highest rewards they also require coordination between your team. Inferno consists of enemies, artifacts, treasures, teleports, and a boss. And obstacles. Everytime you move in the inferno your cooldown timer increases. Sometimes you'll randomly get a a shitty interference of +10 sec to cooldown. If your cooldown timer hits 30s you're frozen until the 30s counts down to 0.

The strategy here is to walk when your CD timer is at 14s. Every step adds 5 second, and the bad powerup gives +10. If you reach 29s on cooldown timer you won't be frozen you can walk again or attack or something but you're only frozen if it goes above 30. Sometimes you can get the opposite effect too which is -10 sec to cooldown. WHICH IS GREAT, then you can walk another 2 steps or kill something or grab a treasure or a buff who knows. But you gotta kill all the monsters and unlock all the artifacts in the map to reach the boss. Upon killing the boss you are given rewards based on speed of completion. You can do this run twice a day. You might also need someone strong on your team to slay the boss if not you guys might take a while killing it or even hurting it.
Dark Abyss is a relatively new feature placed in recently. It unlocks at 55, and is simple dungeon dive. You get a choice of 3 opponents of easy medium and hard, and after beating a certain number of enemies you get to pick a buff to buy based on stars you gain from defeating which difficulty opponent. There's 50 stages to each section of the Dark Abyss for a total of 150 stages. You get 2 tries each day and when you think you're going to brickwall or die always select a super strong friend on your friend list to carry you a level or two to make ranking for bonuses and items. Every 5 stages you complete grants you item rewards for improving your party.

That's all I wanted to go over for Player vs. Environment, there's also Team Dungeons as well and Guild Boss andWorld Boss but those occur at certain time intervals each day and you just zerg yourself in at those to get gold. Zodiac Challenge is also PvE its a tough 2 monster and 1 boss battle dungeon. The maps can be redone each day. However your furthest Zodiac challenge will stay dead for whatever you've killed until you kill the boss, meaning mobs you've slaughtered on the way don't respawn until boss is dead. The Tidal Pool is a simple minigame where you just fire nets at fish to gain Soulstones for Training your heroes/mount. Garden is... straightforward.

Player vs. Player
Okay so player vs player. This is probably where most concerns lie with any player coming into this game if they're going to compete. Is the game Pay to Win? Yeah it is if you wanna be at the very top. But how many games are you top #1 at. I can honestly say I've never been top at any game I've played in for very long or at all across many games and mediums. Be real. Don't compare yourself to someone unloading loads of cash into their character/account.
Another thing is to start on a new server so you're at a level playing field with everyone else! Starting on an existing one would mean a larger population but also a longer climb but would also mean more targets that you can probably win against or lose against. Goes both ways.
The game does set you around people around your investment level, time-wise & payment-wise. If you've paid next to nothing you'll generally lie within the middle range of power among most people in a server if you play every day. If you play here and there casually like a single player you'll probably be in the lower end of the server's population power. Paying a lot of money will of course set you to be at the very top. Paying some money will get you a decent amount of stuff for very little. Very little meaning less than 10$.
There are some exclusive events however that do require heavy moolah to participate in but for the most part free players can participate in every event and with enough effort get some pretty huge rewards from it if played smartly. Playing smartly meaning you stockpile resources and unload it all on an event and overwhelm others, perhaps even paying players.
In any case PvP in League of Angels generally has 3 main ones you'll participate in a lot whether you're a free player/paying player/unloading credit card player.
ONE IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW IS: Battle Rating in the game does not dictate who will win, it only merely indicates who might win.

Team Arena is probably the most forgiving among free players. Team up with crazy high-end paying players because tehy're always looking for low levels and weak ppl to party up with so they don't queue with insane groups of people from other servers that are way too strong. Team Arena is always fought Cross Server wise, so you won't be fighting people on your server.
Party Position Setup.

Team Arena is intense, 3 players vs 3 players and 3 angels on each side. So the battle goes wild, eventually 3 aoe attacks go off on each side wiping practically everything. The lower bracket generally is under 150 levels of combined levels between the 3 of you. So if you got 3 level 50s you're going to get matched with level 51-61s on other servers. If you're 149 total then you'll be matched in the newbie brackets and probably higher chance of winning. Something to keep in mind. Team Arena is a lot more different, a battle rating deviation of over 150k and you can still win. Meaning if you're 150k above one team you can still lose, or vice versa.

Arena on the other hand is fairly random, you're given 1 strong opponent and 1 weak opponent and 3 in between. Defeat all 5 and it'll refresh and give you a spur of new opponents. These opponents are always rated around your character and are against people in your server. If you get enough points from it you'll be automatically enrolled into Domination elimination match that's held once every 4 days. If you win that you get extra Prestige and rewards and items and people can make bets on who's going to win.

So Domination looks like this when you qualify from succeeding in Arena, there are rank brackets in Domination.

And finally Clash of Might...

Clash of Might I have to say is strictly a Pay to Win thing to get to the top, in no way would a free player ever reach the top in this. It is solely a ladder climb, you beat anyone above you in rank, you take their place and they take yours. There's not much to say about this other than you click on who you wanna challenge. If you beat them you give 'im a thrashing and steal their rank, or you fail and stay put.

Wyrm Race and Raiders is another PvP activity. Wyrm Race is simple you send off a dragon for money and things each day once. During its flight for 15 minutes people can attack it up to 10 times reducing the gold rewards by like half if they succeed all 10 times. Brutal. You can always "hire" an escort from a friend.
The other is Raiders, it's more of a PvE PvP hybrid, where PvE you just click a button rolls 3 items for you to synthetize upgrade materials for your party. If you don't have the items to synthetize you can rob players of shards that you're missing and steal it from them to gain the shards. There's also Twilight Clash but that's guild vs. guild to occupy castles for daily rewards.
And finally Cross Server War.

Cross Server War I find is very balanced one each side matchmade is generally some strong players some weak players, both exist on each side. The only time I see landslide wins are because people aren't coordinated or objectives are lost in the gameplay. It plays like a MOBA and goes on every day in a 7v7 format. Rewards from this are to upgrade your clothes and wings or to give you emblems that cause special effects for your main character to trigger their skills more often. So participate in this if you're having difficulty in those other ones. It's very enjoyable even weak players can wipe strong players. Your HP doesn't regenerate after each battle, so you will die eventually unless you're hiding from everyone just grabbing regen powerups when they spawn and if they spawn. If you get killed repeatedly without killing someone you're also granted a major damage buff until you slaughter someone too!

Events

The game has TONS of events to help you gain materials for your party to improve them and upgrade them. You can participate in pretty much 90% of them without having to pay a cent. However there are certain crazy ones that do require some input of real cash or a LOT of cash. But I feel the game has a lot to do and events are always abundant there's so many that there's 3-4 pages of them zz... So really even a free player will be occupied when playing League of Angels.  Here's an example of something every player can obtain the whole list of event rewards. Easily doable.

Always take advantage of the events they even grant things that cost real money sometimes for free and you can stockpile those for events when they come around again. Some are on rotation some aren't, or are seasonal or something. But either way keep a look out and do the objectives and your party will grow pretty strong pay or free player.

So there you have it guys, League of Angels. That's some of the things the game has to offer, there's more that I haven't unlocked or reached yet but I hope this review helped you out or gave you some insight. I definitely think you should give it a shot if you like pre-strategy games. League of Angels lends itself to being a strategy game in the sense of preparation not so much during combat. So you're like a commander outside of battle setting up formation, during battle you don't give commands you watch how it plays out.

A begginner guide for non-cashers.

Non-Cashing Beginner's Guide

Let me start off by saying that I am not a casher, so these tips are for those of you that don't spend a single cent towards the game.

I. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR RESOURCES - Save most resources you aquire for use during certain events, such as Consuming Regaining. If you stockpile on things such as Runestones, Blessed Stones, Soulstones, Refining Stones, Element Crystals, Gem Enhancement Stones, Enchanted Ore, Enchant Stones, Aegis Shards, Seraph's Stones and Angel Tears, you can use certain amounts of them to gain extra rewards from a Hot Event.

II. DEVOTE YOURSELF TO DEVOTION - You earn extra rewards for allocating certain amounts of devotion throughout the day. You earn devotion by completing certain challenges. If you're thinking that you won't be able to get much devotion without pouring a lot of money into the cause, well... YOU'RE WRONG! As I said at the beginning of this post, I do not cash. Without cashing, I can easily have over 600 devotion at the end of the day. Here are a few tips to help you earn devotion much quicker:

a. ENHANCE EQUIPMENT (10 pts / 5 times max) - Use some gold to enhance some equipment. If it requires a lot of gold to enhance, then you can purchase some equipment from the Arena Shop for as little as 20 Dragon Crests. Once you max out that equipment, simply sell it and repeat the process as many times as you like.

b. UPGRADE ASTRAL (20 pts / 1 time max) - When you level up, you can upgrade the Astral to increase some stats. This task is very unfair for people that are levels 60 or higher because it takes a few days or even weeks to level up. Don't kill yourself over missing these 20 points because most people miss it, but it's still possible to make over 700 devotion without completing this task.

c. RUNE (5 pts / 5 times max) - Upgrade a hero's Rune ability. If you are saving Runestones, what I would do is just upgrade the hero's Rune that costs the least amount of Runestones to upgrade, and only upgrade it 5 times.

d. DRILLS (10 pts / 5 times max) - Train heroes in the Drills. A VERY helpful tip to get the most out of this task is to train heroes for an 8 hour period. Training for only 8 hours allows you to train heroes a total of 3 times in one day. This is of course assuming that you only have 2 training slots. To get the third training slot, it requires vip and diamonds.

e. ALCHEMY (10 pts / 5 times max) - This is, in my opinion, the easiest task to complete. You get 2 daily attempts for free. What I do is I spend 10 diamonds for a third attempt. You will learn why I spend the diamonds on the third attempt later on in this guide. NOTE: If you have purchased 1 month vip for 699 diamonds, you get 7 daily attempts for free, so there is no need to spend any diamonds on an extra attempt.

f. CHALLENGE IN ARENA (5 pts / 10 times max) - This is another no brainer. Simply challenge in the arena. Win or lose, it doesn't matter as you will still earn the devotion points no matter what. You can use the Arena tips I give you later on in this guide to make it even easier.

g. GEMOLOGY (20 pts / 1 time max) - I take back what I said about Alchemy being the easiest task to complete!  All you have to do is get one match of gems in Gemology to earn these 20 points. It's that easy! If you're trying to save Gemology energy for something like the Tycoon, then just make one match (spending just one energy) and you're good to go.

h. WORLD BOSS (20 pts / 1 time max) - Participate in the World Boss event. I never get this one because on my server, World Boss happens at 3:00 AM for me, so I'm usually in bed sleeping at that hour! I still make over 600 devotion without completing this task, so don't sweat it if it happens at a bad time for you.

i. JOIN QUIZ (30 pts / 1 time max) - Take part in the daily quiz event when it rolls around. Nothing more to it!

j. JOIN GAUNTLET (20 pts / 1 time max) - Particpate in your guild's Gauntlet event. Be sure to check the times for Gauntlet, Domination and Twilight Clash as they may differ from server to server.

k. ETERNAL SPIRE (30 pts / 1 time max) - Blitz the Eternal Spire at least one time to complete this task.

l. JOIN WYRMRACCE (30 pts / 1 time max) - Release any wyrm in the WyrmRace event to make this one. Pretty self-explanitory I'd say.

m. JACKPOT (20 pts / 1 time max) - Test your luck in the Jackpot minigame. Who cares if it's a bad day for you or if you broke a mirror earlier in the day? You will still get the devotion points.

n. JOIN RAIDERS (20 pts / 1 time max) - Explore in the Raiders at least one time to make the most out of this task.

o. JOIN TEAM DUNGEON (10 pts / 5 times max) - Complete up to 5 Team Dungeon levels with a friend or two. Of all of these tasks, this one is probably the most important, especially if you didn't do any Team Arena battles. Try your best not to skip Team Dungeon because you're throwing away 50 points.

p. JOIN TEAM ARENA (10 pts / 5 times max) - When it is time for Team Arena, do it. There are two different times for Team Arena, so you have two chances to join a Team Arena battle.

q. PLANT IN GARDEN (20 pts / 1 time max) - Plant in your garden. Read the tips that come later in this guide for extra help in the Garden, such as deciding which seeds to plant and so on.

r. TIDAL POOL (30 pts / 1 time max) - Play the Tidal Pool minigame. The pool of fish refreshes twice a day (at midnight at and noon), so you have two chances to do this task.

s. JOIN EREBUS (50 pts / 1 time max) - Blitz Erebus at least one time to complete this task.

t. GEM SOCKETING (20 pts / 1 time max) - This is another one you could almost do in your sleep! Simply socket any gem into any socket. Ta-dah! If you have no open sockets available, just unsocket one gem, then resocket that same gem. It's so easy, you will feel as though you're cheating the system!

u. HERO TRAINING (30 pts / 1 time max) - Train any hero at least one time. If you are saving Soulstones for something like Consuming Regaining or Emerging Resources, simply spend a few Soulstones to train a hero once, that way it won't put too much of a dent in your Soulstone supply. By the way, it's surprising how many people are unaware of this fact - Mounts count as heroes in this case. If all your heroes are fully trained, don't feel at a loss! You can train your mount and it will count as training a hero. Training the mount first of all, before everything else, is a must.

v. HERO BLESSING (50 pts / 1 time max) - Put up a few Blessed Stones towards blessing a hero to earn these 50 points. As always, if you're saving Blessed Stones, use the bare minimal amount required to bless a hero once. The same often unknown fact that applies to hero training applies here as well. Blessing a mount has the same result that blessing a hero does.

w. CHALLENGE IN ZODIAC (30 pts / 1 time max) - Challenge in Zodiac. Simply blitz it at least one time to complete this task. Easy!

III. KEEP UP TO DATE WITH UPDATES - Usually when you're a lower level or, not to be rude or offensive, a noob, most of the updates that may come around may be unavailable to you until you reach a certain level or have a certain requirement, but it pays to know what's going on. There will usually be a new update ever couple of weeks, so usually 1-3 a month on average. Holiday seasons, like around Christmas time, you should expect more frequent updates. Why should I care about updates, you ask? Well, that way you don't miss out on some big events. You know the saying, 'the early bird gets the worm'? It's like that. The sooner you participate in an event, the more rewards you could collect.

IV. DO YOUR DAILY 'DAYLIES' - 'Daylies' is a term often used for all of the daily things you can do. Eternal Spire, Zodiac, Garden, Gemology, Arena, Drills, Alchemy, Dark Abyss, Tarot Cards, Totems, Inferno, Tidal Pool, Dragonsouls, Team Dungeon and Raiders are several examples of what daylies are. If you had to pick one tip to follow throughout this entire guid, it HAS to be this one! Without a vip status, you can easily earn 10 million gold or more just from doing your daylies, and that's not including any extra, seasonal events, such as Angel's Quiz, Beach Treasure or the House of Cards! I understand that not everyone that reads this guid may know what everything I just named off are, but that's okay. I will explain what everything is in the next section of this guid, so look down!

VI. DECISIONS, DECISIONS, DECISIONS... - Believe me when I say that deciding which attributes work best, what to equip to who or what gems to give to who is a very tedius procedure! There are so many possibilites, so many decisions! I am here to help you make the right decisions.

a. HEROES - ATTRIBUTES
Each hero has a total of 6 basic attributes (PATK, MATK, PDEF, MDEF, HP and Agility) and 5 advanced attributes (Hit, Dodge, Block, Crit and END). Each attribute has its positives and its negatives. Here is what each attribute is and in what cases it is best used:
  • PATK (Power Attack) - The average amount of PATK damage the hero will deal per hit. Used by Knights, Rouges and Hunters.
  • MATK (Magic Attack) - The average amount of MATK damage the hero will deal per hit. Only used by Mages.
  • PDEF (Power Defense) - The average amount of PATK damage recieved from enemies that will be reduced.
  • MDEF (Magic Defense) - The average amount of MATK damage recieved from enemies that will be reduced.
  • HP (Health Points) - The total amount of HP the hero has.
  • Agility - The overall speed of the hero. The more agility the hero has, the more likely it will be that the hero will attack before anyone else.
  • Hit - Hit reduces the likelyhood of an enemy dodging this hero's attacks.
  • Dodge - Dodge increases the likelyhood of dodging an enemy attack, taking no damage at all.
  • Block - Block increases the likelyhood of reducing the amount of damage that is dealt to the hero by half.
  • Crit (Critical) - Crit increases the likelyhood of dealing twice as much damage to any enemy than you normally would.
  • END (Endurance) - END reduces the likelyhood of taking a critical hit from an enemy attack.
TIP: Try to vary the attributes you focus on for each hero. Don't let your entire party have an insane ATK and low DF! Instead, decide what you want the hero to do in battle. For example, if you have a healer like Djinni for example, you may want her to heal more often, so you would focus largely on her Agility.
TIP: Try to work on more than one attribute at a time, but only on one hero at a time. This can prove to be very challenging at times, but I usually focus on 2 or 3 at a time. Once you are happy with those attributes on one hero, move on to the next hero.
TIP: NEVER put too much energy into developing one hero because that will leave the rest of your party vulnerable in attacks. Like I said in the previous two tips, focus on one or two smaller aspects of one hero, then move on to the next hero.
TIP: Don't worry, this is the last tip! Lastly, it is best if your main (not any of the heroes you've recruited over time, but the one that you walk around as and that has your name) is the strongest person in your party. If your main dies in battle, even if you still have hero(es) duking it out, you will lose your angel. As long as your main is alive, you will be able to benefit from your angel. Don't let your main die!

b. HEROES - EQUIPMENT
Each hero has 6 slots where equipment can be placed. Each slot can hold a specific type of equipment (weapons, helms, mail, rings, greaves and boots). There are several weapons under each category, so you are back to having another tough decision to make. Weapons increase PATK, helms increase HP, mail increases PDEF, rings increase both Crit and Hit, greaves increase MDEF and boots increase Agility. Each item can be enhanced, enchanted and refined, all of which increase the attribute it adds to the hero, and you can even socket gems to them to increase their attributes even more!

There are several different levels of any type of equipment: Standard, Peerless/Courage, Triumph, Conquest, Ruin and Eternity. Equipment doesn't stop there! You can FURTHER improve your equipment by upgrading them in the forge to the following levels: Royal, Mythic (level 60), Mythic (level 70), Mythic (level 80), Heroic, Imperial and lastly, Advanced Imperial. Mythic equipment not only adds a greater attribute value to the hero, but it also has a special ability that is used in battle. The higher the upgrade level, the greater the attribute bonus and the skill effect will be, so keep upgrading!

CAUTION: Be careful when synthing new equipment in the Forge because the hero needs to have reached a certain level in order for the item to be equipped to them.
  • Peerless/Courage requires level 20 or above to equip.
  • Triumph requires level 40 or above to equip.
  • Conquest requires level 60 or above to equip.
  • Ruin requires level 70 or above to equip.
  • Eternity requires level 80 or above to equip.
  • Royal requires level 60 or above to equip.
  • Mythic, Heroic, Imperial and Adv. Imperial require level 1 or above to equip.
NOTE FOR SOCKETING: The better upgrage the equipment is, the more sockets you will have available for socketing gems.
NOTE FOR ENHANCING: You cannot enahnce any equipment to a level that is higher than your character's level. For example, you cannot enhance a level 42 Conquest Helm to level 43 if your character level is only 43.
TIP FOR UPGRADING: One of the best ways to get the required materials for upgrading and synthing new equipment is from Erebus and Dark Abyss rewards. You can get most prints that are required for Mythic, Heroic, Imperial and Adv. Imperial upgrades from most advanced rewards in most event overall rankings. You can get Royal prints from the Dark Abyss shop and you can get Peerless, Courage, Conquest, Ruin and Eternity prints from the Arena shop.

VII. GOD OF GEMS - Gems are very, very, VERY helpful! They make the difference sometimes, toghether with the training and upgrade level. It's important to firstly synth gems for your main hero, till you reach at least level 8 and 9 gems, then switch to the hero that's the most important for your whole team. Fuse gems are also a must, unfortunatelly, you can only get them by winning certain events, or after you reach a certain level and get stronger, you're able to get either a level 6 fusion gem chest (HP+PATK/MATK/MDEF/PDEF) from Dark Abyss shop, or Gem Essence that's required to synth fuse gems on your own (20 GE is needed for a level 6 fuse gem, 60 for level 7, 180 for a level 8 and so on). You can also synth a higher fuse gem starting from level 6 with 3 pairs of the same gem (e.g. 3x level 6 HP+PATK turns into a level 7 HP+PATK, requiring synth scrolls - 400 to synth a level 7, 600 for a level 8 and 1000 for a level 9 fuse gem).

VIII. TAME THAT DRAGON! - Dragonsouls are very important as well.
Dragon Taming
Dragon Taming unlocks upon reaching level 60 and is used to obtain Dragonsouls. Obtaining Dragonsouls is similar to obtaining gems in Gemology; there are 5 types of elements: Electro, Wind, Ice, Fire and a wild/random orb. Align 3 or more elements of the same type in a line to eliminate them. For each group eliminated a corresponding elemental Dragonsoul will be produced. If 3 wild/random elemental orbs are aligned, then a random elemental Dragonsoul will be produced. The more elements you clear with each move, the more points you get and the higher the level of the Dragonsouls you will receive.

Auto-eliminate: Spend 250 Diamonds to auto-eliminate and clear all current elements. You can spend 50 Diamonds to lock an unwanted element so that it will not be produced during auto-eliminate.

Dragonsouls
- Click on the Dragonsoul icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- Each party member has 5 Dragonsoul slots that can be embedded with one Dragonsoul.

ElementBonus Stats
Electro+HP, +PATK, +PDEF, +MATK, or +MDEF
Ice+END, +Agility, +Hit, + Crit, or +Dodge
Fire+END, +Agility, +Hit, + Crit, or +Dodge
Wind+HP, +PATK, +PDEF, +MATK, or +MDEF

Players can level up Dragonsouls by combining them with unwanted Dragonsouls of the same element.

Dragonsoul Skills
- Each Dragonsoul has Element Power points. When the total Element Power of a single party member reaches the required amount, his/her corresponding Dragonsoul Skill will be unlocked.
- Elemental Power = Dragonsoul Quality * Dragonsoul Level.
Qualities: Green = 2, Blue = 3, Purple = 4, Orange = 5, Red = 6 and Gold = 7.
- Each class has 2 sets of Elemental Skills: Radical and Protective. Players can switch the active skill in the Dragonsoul menu at any time.

- Players can collect Dragonsoul Essence from the Daily Loot menu if his or her daily Dragonsoul points have reached the required amount.
- Dragonsoul Essence can be used to swap for Epic and Legendary Dragonsouls in the Dragonsoul Shop.

Please note that the above content may be adjusted due to changes in the development plan. Where any discrepancy between game and guide occurs, in-game data shall take precedence.

IX. DREAM TEAM - It is important to have some variety through your team, so we will work to create your dream team here!

X. EVENT EXTREMISTS - Learn the best methods of getting the best scores in events such as Arena, Cross Server War, Inferno and more!

a. ARENA ARBITER - Do you need more Prestiege to make it to Demi God? If you're reading this guide, you probably do (no offense). Here's how to become the arbiter in the Arena!
The enemies in the Arena refresh twice a day (once at reset, than again at noon). This gives you two chances to defeat as many as you can. Usually, the enemies are placed as follows:

Name: 0.png
Views: 301
Size: 594.9 KB

Three players will have a lower br than you (green circles in image) and two players will have a higher br than you (red x's in image). The player in the lower-right slot is an NPC, not a real player, but everyone else are real players from within your server. Interesting sidenote, this particular screenshot shows me on a very unlucky day where Caddin and Forrest are the two strongest players in my server. lol

Each victory rewards you with 22 points. Sometimes you get some points even for losing against certain players. I am still trying to figure out why this is, so I will get back to you on this.

b. AWESOME ABYSS - Don't you want those Royal Prints? Of course you do! Here's how you can get them!

You will lose at some point because it is inevitable, but you can control when the inevitable will happen. First thing's first... know which enemies you can kill. Memorize the icons of the ones you can't beat so you can hopefully avoid a confrontation with them next time. In my experience, Hecate/Blazing Hecate and bosses are very difficult to beat.

NOTE: You unlock Nightmare difficulty after you have gotten 50 victories in common difficulty. You unlock Purgatory difficulty after you get 50 victories in Nightmare difficulty (100 victories in total).
NOTE: Don't think that the enemy on the left will always be easier than the one on the right because this isn't always the case. Like I said, know who to avoid and who you can defeat.

c. CROSS-SERVER CRAZINESS - Cross Server war is... well... there's not much to say about it...

Um... I honestly can't say much about this. I do have some tips for you if you are luckier than me and you get some good people on your team. If you are a noob... block any mines. There is any annoying trick people often use where they stand on the ore that you want to mine and they prevent you from clicking on the ore because their body is in the way. This is a very noob-ish move, but I've seen plenty of level 70's doing this crapola, so feel free to do it. Just stand directly on the ore. Also, speed really helps a lot, especially when you can't really kill anyone, so get those speed boosts when you can! The last trick is to rush to the middle ore right from the start. If you're fast enough, you might be able to mine that center ore before anyone else gets there. Once you're level 70 or above, you can probably stay in the middle.

d. GAUNTLET GREATNESS - For me and for many others, Gauntlet is the main gold resource. You're getting gold for every hit you do to the dragons and the wolves that comes in waves based on your damage dealt, plus an additional reward at the end, based again on your total damage dealt, your rank and (if it happens) a chest for finishing the whole event. The strategy usually contains in killing the dragons as fast as you can at the begginning, before the wolves are able to do too much damage to the angel, then stop the waves to reach your base. For a big guild that has at least 3 people that's able to one hit the wolves untill the last wave, each of them should take a lane, while the rest helps when and if its needed. For a decent guild that has only one strong player, it's good to let him solo the mid lane, while everyone else take the top and kill as much as they can. Sometimes, avoiding the last wolf and switch to another lane to kill the normal ones saves time and damage dealt to angel, as the last one gets stronger and stronger by the waves passes.

e. QUICK QUIZES - Wether you're too dumb, retarted or too lazy to answer these questions, you can become a genious in no time!

To not only succeed, but also exceed, you're best bet is to use a search engine like Google, for example, and search the answers to the questions if you don't know them. I go to a website to find the answers: http://forums.game321.com/viewthread.php?tid=8103. The quickest way to search through a long page of answers is to do Control + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) and search a specific word or phrase within the question and you'll jump right to it! I am not going to list out every answer in this thread as that is not what this thread is about and I am too lazy to do that. There are many places to go to find the answers.

f. TO INFERNO & BEYOND!! - This section will be created soon...

g. TYCOON TRICKSTER - Do you want those awesome advanced rewards, but you need 70k points to get them? Here's how to do it!

The first thing you need to know about the Tycoon is how it works. You earn points based on how many resources you can accumulate during the event. The scoring system goes as follows:

1 point..........Gold x10,000
1 point..........Gemology Points x5
1 point..........Runestone x1
1 point..........Enchant Stone x1
1 point..........Enchanted Ore x1
2 points........Soulstone x1
2 points........Element Crystal x1
2 points........Aegis Shard x1
2 points........Advanced Enchant Stone x1
2 points........Gem Enhancement Stone x1
6 points........Blessed Stone x1
6 points........Seraph's Stone x1
20 points......Angel Tear x1

NOTE: Any items collected from chests DO NOT count. I made the mistake of saving every chest I got for a month, but got a whopping 0 points for all my troubles. Also, you DO NOT get any points for synthing gems or from gold aquired from selling items.

TIP: To get the most points, I recomend saving Gemology energy as well as Daric. Djinni's Merchants starts one day after the single-server Tycoon starts, so the two events overlap. Take advantage of this overlap! Djinni's Merchants allows you to buy resources and even Gemology energy cards that can really help you rack up those points! The amount of Gemology energy you choose to save is up to you. 10,000 Gemology points equivilates to 2,500 Tycoon points (10,000 / 5). Plus, for 10,000 points, you get extra Daric from the Hot Event bonus.

Gem enhancement:Yes,it has to do with gems, and it gives a bonuses to them (this bonus only applies to the gems that you use on the specific hero).Increasing the lvl of it,also increases the bonus,in order to do that, gem enhancement stones are required, obtainable from gemology, hot events, and more.

Lvl51:
Guardian angels:Big one,as the name suggests, you can use angels as guardians,in combination with cherubstones is the system that gives the highest boost to your heroes. My advice is to focus on the guardian angels, not the one you use in party.Cherubstones can be obtained from arena shop and events.

Lvl 55:
Rebirth:This allows you to rebirth your heroes, giving them higher stats for each lvl.Note:the lvl of the hero will decrease after rebirth, make sure you're prepared before doing it.
Rebirth can be done every 5 lvl so is gonna be like this:first rebirth lvl55;2nd-lvl 60;3rd-lvl 65;4th-lvl 70;5th-lvl 75;6th-lvl80;7th-lvl85.

Dark abyss:New system with 3 stages each having 50 levels.Nightmare runes and purgatory totems are dropped from it,can be used to buy items/resources from abyss shop.Note:In order to obtain runes and totems you will need to reach a certain number of stars every 5 levels.Stars can be used to buy buffs for your party.Ranking rewards are slayer's marks(also usable in the abyss shop) and vouchers.

Lvl 60:
Dragonsoul:Much like gemology.Use dragonsouls to obtain a certain attribute, devour them in order to increase the lvl of the ones you're using, dragonsouls of the same element and attribute can't be used twice.Same attribute but different element works.Upgrading the dragonsouls increases their attributes, and also the element power.Reach a certain element power in order to unlock dragonsoul skills.Skills are different for each class.

Totems:Each totem has a different skill, you can use 5 totems at once, but only the main totem skill can be used in battle.Totems also increase certain stats and resistance. The totems you use boost the attribute of the entire party.Sacrifice points and totems badge are gived for each fight, use sacrifice points to get totems, and badges to buy them from the totem shop.Note:The difficulty of this system is high.

Lvl 70:
Last class upgrade, there's nothing to choose from, just click ok.

Back up hero:Allows you to bring another hero in battle when one of your party heroes dies.

Character awakening:In order to upgrade it,it requires for awakening stones, those can be obtained from the "Awaken Smelting"event,by trading resources and new stones made exactly for the event.
Now comes the fun part,by upgrading the awakening,it allows to use skills for your main hero. The new skills works the same as the original ones,in order to upgrade the skills, books are required, those can be obtained from Skills Chest (event that unlocks at lvl 70,same as Awaken Smelting),also each skill lvl asks for a higher awakening lvl,so the 2 are connected.

Lvl 89:This is were you stop.At least for now.

I might have forgotten some things or mistaken the lvl that it unlocks for some of them.If so,you're replies are more then welcomed, also if you think that i should add something, post it,and i will make sure that it gets here.

Here is a very usefull link that worths getting into it and read: tinyurl.com/raichuloa
Big thanks to Raichu for his help.
